In 2017, residents from multiple church denominations in Longview, Texas decided to band together as the body of Christ and stake the gates (entrances) of their city claiming for the Kingdom of God. It was a response to growth in crime and other community concerns.
Within 18 months crime rates reduced 45%. Each January since, Active-Faith has led this event. In 2025, the second Saturday of January became the official National Staking Day! Active-Faith invited the entire nation, coast to coast, to join us as part of a great movement staking God's created earth with His Word to claim it for Heaven's purpose and to be protected for God's interests.
Over the years, the citizens of Longview have staked to lower suicide rates, create racial unity, to guard against witchcraft, to protect children, to bring revival, and more! All of these prayer targets have been successful!

We will be hosting our next National Staking Day January 10, 2026! We will livestream the initial gathering and prayer portion of the event with cities all over the country! We just need your information for you to become involved.

Is it important to stake the same day and/or time as the event hosts?
Although it is not necessary, it is important. There is power in unity in the body of Christ. When we incorporate the reading of God's word and the acts of faith (staking) in unity we are a mighty army!
How do I organize such an event for my city?

What if the ground is frozen in winter or the weather is inclement?
Don't worry! We know how to battle that as well. Frozen ground can be handled with a few resourceful tools and inclement weather can be handled with "virtual staking"
Will I be able to join everyone participating in the livestream?
Absolutely! We will make certain every city staking leader knows the details about National Staking Day ahead of time.
